You can live without pleasures on earth, but you can never live without Jesus. You can live without a husband or wife or children. You can live without a home, a hairbrush, a toothbrush, and a toilet, shower, and sink. You can live without going out to eat and driving a car, motorbike, or bicycle. But you can never live without Jesus.
Jesus must be Your everything in life. Every breath You take, every time your heart beats, every time your mind thinks a thought, it should all be from God. “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.” (Matthew 16:24-27).
So, surrender everything you have to Jesus, and you will truly live. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” (Mark 12:30).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that every single one of Your children surrenders this life to You. For when we truly surrender and have faith in You, we can truly live. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
