Overcoming Lives

As Christians we are supposed to live our lives as overcomers. But sometimes we want other people to help us. We want other people to level with us and encourage us. I’m not saying this is wrong. We can go to fellow believers and talk to them and be encouraged. But Jesus Christ is our ultimate hope. He is the one who brings us out of the darkness and into the light. Christ is our brightness. And He is the reason we overcome. Revelation 12:11, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Matthew 19:26, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

So never forget the God who created you. Never forget how he parted the red sea and allowed David to conquer Goliath. Christ is the one who sets us free and allows us to overcome. Without Him, we are nothing.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for everything that You have done for us. We praise Your name for Your miraculous power and ask that You deliver us from the evil one. Help us be overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony. Matthew 19:26, “ . . .with God all things are possible.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
