Waiting is hard. We tend to want answers right away and directions on which path to take in life. But God asks us to be patient, to seek Him, and listen to His voice in the midst of the waiting. Waiting for something to happen or waiting for answers is not a punishment, but rather helping you get closer to God. So, if you’re in the midst of the waiting, enjoy it, because one day the waiting will be over, and you’ll have missed the beauty in the waiting. And whether you’re waiting a few minutes or even a few years, just know that God has something so much bigger around the corner for You, and it’s through the waiting that you'll learn to trust God.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that You help us through the waiting. Help us know who we are in You and be confident in You. Help us depend more on You everyday and deliver us from the spirit of fear for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
