We always want to listen to the world, or our feelings, rather than what God is trying to tell us. Sometimes we just ignore that He’s there watching us. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he is there. Instead, it leads us to grieve the Holy Spirit.
So, as you go through life, remember that a greater reward is with Christ. Sin may be fun for a season but it’s consequences won’t be fun for eternity. Remember Moses? It says in Hebrews 11:24-26, "By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward." So, turn down the devil and turn up the Holy Spirit of God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us listen to You. The devil and other people’s voices are trying to separate us from You. Deliver us from the enemy’s lies. And help us choose salvation over worldly pleasures. Matthew 19:26, “. . .with God all things are possible.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
