“You shall not covet. . ." (Exodus 20:17).

Sometimes we look at people’s lives and want what they have. But the truth is that God knows exactly what we need. We shouldn’t covet another person’s husband, wife, children, car, house, job, money, etc. Instead, we should be thanking God for what we do have. So the next time you start thinking you want what someone else has, start thanking God for what you do have. Jesus knows what’s best and will bring you your special husband, wife, children, house, etc., when He wants to. So stop coveting and realize that those people also have troubles. No life is perfect even if it looks like it from the outside. We never know what’ going on behind closed doors.

God Bless you all.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I repent for coveting what I think other people have. Thank you for showing me that You know what’s best for me and that no life is really perfect. Thank You for allowing me to trust in You and thank You for always showing Yourself faithful. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Scripture

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”” (Hebrews 13:5).
