The Fruit of the Spirit: Peace

The Holy Spirit brings peace. The Bible states, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23). Therefore, when you are born-again, peace is already living inside of you.

John 14:27 states, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” So, trust Jesus and accept the peace that he has already given you. 1 Peter 5:7 states, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Therefore, when we feel anxious, we must cast our anxiety on Jesus because He cares for us.

So, when people see you, do they see a peaceful person? Are you casting your anxiety on Jesus and rebuking the spirit of fear? These are just a few questions to help you seek the Holy Spirit more for that peace. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). So, rebuke the spirit of fear, for that comes from the devil, not Jesus. John 16:33 states, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Prayer

Jesus, I pray that everyone who reads this devotional has peace. For you say in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” So, we cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us, like you mention in 1 Peter 5:7. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Thank you, Jesus, for caring for us and taking away all our fear, sorrow, pain, and anxiety. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). So, I loose power, love, and a sound mind, and bind fear, anxiety, depression, and more and cast it into the pit of hell. For you say, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Mathew 18:18). In Jesus Mighty Holy name I pray, Amen and Amen. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

God Bless,

Double Blessing
