Preaching the gospel is not easy. Our flesh wants to be friends with everyone and talk about the weather, what we ate, etc. However, that is not love. Those who are not born-again will be going to hell. This very thought should help us cling to the Holy Spirit for guidance and preach the gospel to everyone we know. We may lose friends and people we care about along the way. But it’s better to tell them the truth than to hide and watch them walk toward the fire of hell.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us walk in the Spirit so that we don’t gratify the desires of the flesh. “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16). Help us realize that we do not have to be afraid to talk about Jesus or the backlash that comes our way. Instead, help us cling to the Holy Spirit and preach the gospel to which we were called. Thank you, Lord, that we can preach your word. And forgive us Lord for all the times we never mentioned Your name. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
“…with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
