I Will Stand

Writer: Double BlessingDouble Blessing

We must be refined by God. It will be difficult, but in the end we will be spotless. Let God do His work and trust Him. God knows what He is doing. The same God who helped David, the same God who helped Esther, the same God who helped Daniel, and the same God who helped Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendigo go to the furnace is the same God who helps you and me daily. The same God who helped the Israelites escape Egypt and the same God who fed them, gave them water, and didn’t have their clothes wear out, is the same God who takes care of us. Do we believe it? Do we believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever? Yes, we do, and we must have the faith to please God and remind Him of what His own Word says. My God is good. And even though trials aren’t fun, they are worth it for the glory that will be revealed in me. Yes, it’s hard. Yes, we don’t want to go through hard times. But remember this, Job 13:15, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;”

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help us know deep within us that You are fully in control and have everything in the palm of your hand. Thank you, Lord, that we don’t have to worry about anything because You say in Hebrews 13:5, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” And you also say in Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” So Lord, refine us more and more into the image of Your Son, so that we may be found blameless and spotless at Your coming. Help us please and want to please You more and more each and every day. Matthew 19:26, “…with God all things are possible.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
