Great is Our God

Writer's picture: Double BlessingDouble Blessing

God loves us so much that He even knows how many hairs are on our head. He doesn’t want us to worry about tomorrow. He doesn’t want us to be filled with sorrow. And He doesn’t want us to be left in our sin. That is why He came for us. To bring salvation and healing for the sick. Luke 5:30-32, “But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”” So remember, we need the Savior Jesus to heal us. That is why Jesus came. And when You think about all that God has done, we realize how great our God is. He parted the Red Sea, He took down Goliath, He gave manna to the Israelites, and fed the hungry. He healed the sick and cast out demons. He gave sight to the blind and healed a lame man. He did more than anyone could have ever written down. John 21:25, “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” That is how great our God is. So as 2023 draws to a close and 2024 begins, remember that no matter what joy or trial you face, you can always call upon the greatness of the Lord, and He will surly do what you ask Him. John 14:13, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father, keep overflowing us with Your power. Keep us focused on Your greatness and what You can do in our lives as 2023 comes to a close and 2024 begins. Fill us with Your faith that You can even raise the dead and that You can do all things. Matthew 19:26, “ . . . with God all things are possible.” Bless 2024 Jesus and show us Your Greatness throughout the next few days of 2023 and the New Year, 2024. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Scripture
