2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” This weakness for us may be physical or emotional pain. But we can always cry out to God and He’ll be there. Never think that You must fight something alone and never be afraid to ask someone you trust for prayer. Instead, remember 2 Chronicles 20:15, “ . . . For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” So hand it over to God and watch God’s power be made perfect in your weakness. And remember why Jesus came to earth. He came to die on the cross to save us from our sin. And when we cry out to Him in our sinful weakness, He does exactly what He says He’ll do in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Therefore, that is what Christmas is all about, God sending is Son to save us from our sinful weakness.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being with us through physical and emotional pain. Thank You for taking our stress and anxiety away. Thank You for defeating the battles in our lives. And thank You for sending Your only Son to shed his blood on the cross so He could save us from our sinful weakness. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
“ . . . with God all things are possible.”
