God knows our longings. But that doesn’t mean he’ll give us what we want right away. And that should be ok. But we tend to be selfish and impatient people because of our sinful fleshly nature. So, talk to God about your desires and then let Him take them away. That doesn’t mean he’ll never give you those desires. It just means that you can walk through life not worrying about them. Matthew 19:26, “ . . .with God all things are possible.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us submit our longings unto You. Help us give up our desires for Your peace and presence in return. Help us be patient and selfless like Your people should be. Matthew 19:26, “ . . .with God all things are possible.” 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
