We should always want to get alone with God. John 16:33 states, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Therefore, we already know that we will have trouble in this life. But there is hope in God because He already overcame the world.
So, get alone with God today. Thank Jesus for the many blessings He has given you and the trials He has brought You through. Thank Him for the things He’s gotten you out of and the things He’s brought you into. See how beautiful, caring, and loving He is. Never take Him for granted and seek Him with all your heart. Nothing in this world will satisfy, so it’s about time we get alone with God and ask, “What does it really mean to have no other gods before you?”
“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us seek Your face. Deliver us from evil and help us pick up our cross daily, deny ourselves, and follow You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
