“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7).
This scripture reveals that fear isn’t from God. So then where does it come from? The devil.
Satan brings fear and can use fear to make us afraid of things and people around us.
But perfect love drives out fear.
Where does this perfect love come from? Jesus Christ.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear,” (1 John 4:18).
So, the next time you feel fearful, call upon Jesus who will drive it away with His perfect love. For 2 Timothy 1:7 states, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I rebuke the spirit of fear off of everyone who calls upon You in truth. “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalms 245:18). I pray that they all realize that fear is a liar because the devil is a liar. Help us realize that we can depend on You and know that You are always faithful.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).
“with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
