Sometimes we must do things that aren’t always enjoyable. But in Colossians 3:23-24 it says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
So whether you don’t like cooking, cleaning, studying, etc., do it to the Lord. For He is the one that gave you lungs to breath. He is the one that gave you the mind to study, the legs to walk to the kitchen, and the arms to make the meal and dust off your shelves. These things might not always be enjoyable, especially if you don’t feel well, or are busy with other things. But we can always have joy doing them unto the Lord.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, Help us obey what You say in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
